(Pocket-lint) – If you have Sky Q and you’ve come to this article, you’ll probably be wondering how to get Disney+ on it and how you can watch Disney movies, like The Mandalorian and TV shows, like Grey’s Anatomy.
Disney+ is available on Sky Q via the Disney+ app and this is how to get to it.
How to get Disney+ on Sky Q
The Disney+ app is available in the Apps section of the Sky Q menu. You might see it in the Featured Apps section, if not then scroll down until you find it and sign in.
Don’t have the app? Don’t panic. Your box just hasn’t updated. A full power cycle is usually the trick here – ensure your box has an internet connection at all times. Sometimes, even if the internet connectivity is present the box needs a little bit of time to get itself together.
Is Disney+ fully integrated with Sky Q’s interface?
Not yet, although it has been announced and we’ve been told it will roll out to customers by the end of April 2021. When the roll-out happens, Disney+ will be available on Sky Q as a fully-integrated service like Netflix. It means you will see Disney+ shows alongside Sky (and Netflix if you have a subscription through Sky) shows in the programme guide (EPG).
You will need to subscribe to Disney+ through Sky if you want it to be fully integrated however, like you do with Netflix.
What about Now TV?
Now TV has the the dedicated Disney+ app and it is available through the Now TV app store.
You’ll need to sign up for the Disney+ service through Disney and like Netflix, Disney+ is not included in any of Now TV’s passes.
